How to Have a Business that Fulfills Your Soul

Have you ever found yourself thinking, “I want to find true meaning in what I’m doing, not just doing it because it’s easy for me to do to make money.” Or, “I don’t want to compromise but rather enhance my lifestyle along the way.”

Is that what you want too?

It’s possible that you’re all about the money. But it’s more likely you’re looking for meaningful, lifestyle enhancing work that feeds your soul.

You want to live your passion and you want to make the money to fund your ageless lifestyle. Putting these two things together will bring joy, peace, and ease into your life in a way you don’t have it now.

It’s time to figure out how to have a business that fulfills your soul.

Don’t worry, you can make the big bucks, and have your life be everything you want it to be. Making money doesn’t mean you have to sell your soul.

Personally, the number one priority of my business, above everything else, is to fulfill my soul. That’s right, it’s about how my business will serve me before it’s about how I will serve you.

The first priority of your business is to satisfy your desires, to allow you to live your passion and life purpose. Then you get to choose who you do that with and for.

If you focus first on who you want to serve, but you don’t get clear on how that’s going to fulfill you and make you happy, you’ll find your clients aren’t happy either.

Your stress and lack of fulfillment will tank your business eventually.

Haven’t you always been told that to be successful you have to be focused on what your clients want, not what you want?

That’s true once you already know what it is that makes you happy.

For example, what makes me happier than anything else is to see that something I shared made someone else happier, healthier and more fulfilled. That’s why I do what I do. It’s what makes my soul sing.

Before you can be concerned about how you will fulfill the desires of your clients, you get to pick who they will be and how you will best serve them by deciding what makes you happy!

You get stuck when you can’t answer what makes you happy, at least not in clear, laser-focused terms. That’s where the problem starts.

What to do when someone says you can’t go for your dream…

When I was in high school I told my guidance counselor I wanted to be a Realtor. He almost laughed me out of the office. Where I grew up people didn’t think it was necessary for girls to go to college. So if I couldn’t be a Realtor, because an authority figure told me I couldn’t, I had no idea what I wanted to do.

I had several jobs that didn’t fulfill me. They just paid the bills. Some could have been a career and some clearly not.

But it didn’t matter, because the whole time I was just waiting to be old enough to be a Realtor, although nobody clued me into what age I would qualify.

So while some people spin around in circles doing meaningless but well-paying work for years or even a lifetime, it was 4 years for me. I became a Realtor at 22 – still very young.

Thank God I knew what I wanted to do, but the reason I did was that I paid attention to what was going on in my life and what worked and what didn’t.

I learned to ask myself some very important questions that gave me the answers I needed. Listening to clients and asking them pointed questions to draw out their personal paths of happiness and fulfillment is part of the work I do.

Are you consciously creating your life?

Another thing I’ve learned over the years I’ve helped people create a blueprint for their lives is that most people have never even considered that they can consciously choose what they do for a living, where they live, how they spend their time and with whom.

Over my 25 year career in sales, as a sales manager and sales trainer, I believed it was important for my salespeople to make those lifestyle choices if they were going to be truly happy and successful.

There has to be a bigger goal. You have to have a clear vision for your life to sustain success long term.

You have a choice in every area of your life. The biggest choice you make every day is whether you will take action to make a different choice than the one you’ve been making on a daily basis.

Questions are the answer to everything in life, it’s all about asking yourself the right questions to get access to the information you want to know. All the answers are already inside of you. You just need some help getting the answers. You need a new way of accessing that information.

Very few people can do this to a high level on their own. I can help you.
