Is there a Conspiracy to Keep You Unhealthy?

Ageless Life and Business: Is there a Conspiracy to Keep You Unhealthy?

The video that goes with this article is posted below.

This week I saw a meme on FB that showed a hamburger for $1 and a salad for $7 and it said, don’t talk about the obesity problem in the US when prices are like this.

The first thing I wondered is if a salad at a fast food place really cost $7?

Then I started thinking about that really not being the issue.

There’s something deeper that prevents people from eating healthier.

In fact, there could be a conspiracy to keep you unhealthy.

It’s not completely your fault that you’re unable to get yourself motivated to get healthy or have the power to stay on track. There are a combination of factors that contribute to your undoing.

#1 People eat what they know, not what’s good for them.

#2nd Peer pressure from family, friends and social eating is very difficult to resist.

#3 With no value statement and clear, truly soul-based goals in place, it’s almost impossible to stay on track.

What does this look like in your life?

Here’s an example.

I know a woman who buys big bags of nice chocolates and gourmet popcorn at Costco even though she is on a tight budget. Her doctor told her she needs to lose 20 pounds and recently she ended up in the hospital.

She knows she needs to eat better, but the kids and adults in her home expect her to cook certain things and she complies, despite it costing her her health. Plus family often is in denial about health implications. They rally like the families relationship to food and they don’t want it to change.

And how often do you say you’re buying those unhealthy foods for someone else in the house, and yet you end up eating it?

Then there’s the social circle. You belong to a club or church dinners where you cook, or at least eat what the majority wants to eat. And the neighbors who love your favorite dishes, which are also unhealthy. How do you say no? Just because you want be be healthier, why should they be deprived?

Then there’s going to restaurants for a night out with friends. You want to go along with the appetizers, so you eat those foods that are full of fat and grease.

Doing this once in a while is not a problem if you have an otherwise healthy ageless body. In fact it’s good to change things up. But doing it everyday, or even several meals a week is bad news when it comes to your overall health and longevity.

An ageless lifestyle isn’t just a title.

To have an ageless lifestyle, you have to be alive and be in good health. Bad eating habits will have you making your exit way before it was necessary. And before that you’ll lose your health, which means you can’t enjoy an ageless lifestyle.

I’ve seen too many people see the light too late and just as they are really getting healthy, they find out that cancer or heart disease has already gotten too strong of a foothold.

There’s a tipping point, a point of no return where your health internally has gone downhill to the point it can’t be turned around, no matter what dietary changes you make or how much weight you lose.

That tipping point came for my mother.

My mom smoked her whole adult life and then stopped on the advise of her doctor about 10 years before being diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and given 2 weeks to live. It’s not like her doctor hadn’t told her to quit before. She didn’t think there was a rush. She didn’t know what it would cost her to not stop sooner.

Plus her diet was crap.

Food is just as big a killer.

Could the way you eat be slowly killing you?

Don’t let the way things have always been get in the way of you  living a full life.

When I think of all the things my dad has experienced in the last 12 years that my mom didn’t get to be a part of, it makes me sad.

If you have a history of healthy eating, good sleep, a spiritual practice, some form of exercise and stress relief, you have a head start on fighting any disease you are diagnosed with. But remember, the more years you’ve been doing all these things, the more credits in the health bank you have.

Don’t wait. All the habits I just talked about are spelled out in the 5 Essential Keys to an Ageless Body. It’s only $7. If you need help getting a handle on your health there’s no reason for you to not grab a copy. These are simple steps everyone can do.

You can risk dying decades before your natural time or you can start taking the steps necessary to increasing your healthy vital time on the planet. Those are your choices.

I’ve seen too many people die before their time this year and many have been preventable. It’s so frustrating that people don’t take their health seriously.

You don’t have more time to waste.

I don’t care how old or young you are. I’ve had friends and acquaintances in their 40’s and 50’s die this year. I have multiple friends right now with terminal cancer.

What if  waiting until you’re back from vacation, or for the kids to go back to school, or whatever time frame you’re putting getting stared off until, is too late?

What if getting started Monday is too late for you? Tomorrow could be one day too late for you to get started taking care of yourself.

I’m not being morbid. I am trying to scare you. I’m trying to get you to wake up before it’s too late. Because you never think it’s going to be you in that doctors office hearing the news until it is.

The other part of having a healthy body is removing chemicals an toxins from the food you eat, your personal care products and your cleaning products. They are all easy switches to make and it doesn’t cost more. If you’d like to see how easy it is to do it, I’m happy to help you. Just let me know.
